CRACKS FOUND IN AN AIRBUS A350XWB

After being stripped of paint, premature cracks in the composite fuselage were found.

An A350XWB is under scrutiny and will be checked for further faults after the aircraft was found to have cracks in the fuselage. As this aircraft is only 4.3 years old, this has sent alarm bells to Airbus.

Airbus says that this particular aircraft was involved in a ground collision at MLE airport in 2018, and that at the moment they are still investigating.

Qatar Airways (A7-ALL, MSN 036) was supposed to be painted in FIFA World Cup 2022 livery at IAC Shannon.

This A350XWB will be ferried to TLS in the coming days for Airbus to inspect the aircraft on this particular issue.

After the repairs are done, then the aircraft will be painted in her new colours.
